Championing Chargers with Anker’s Wireless PowerWave and Charging Stand.
Anker’s incredible range of smartphone and tablet peripherals have long been products we’ve admired with their unique tech tailored around delivering the best for your own gadgets. With the season of Christmas fast approaching we wanted to take some time to check out the brand’s long renowned wireless chargers. Anker were kind enough to allow us to check out the PowerWave Pad and Wireless Charging Stand.
These cutting edge pieces of kit are ideal as quick stocking fillers and as a means of quickly charging your smartphone on the go simply though laying your device on the pads. But how do they hold up against conventional chargers? We took some time to investigate.
Straight up we unpacked the Anker PowerWave Wireless Pad. This stunning slimline pad really sets itself apart from other charging devices by it’s modernistic aesthetic. It’s small footprint means it doesn’t take up too much room on your desk making it look more akin to a rubberised coaster. Compatibility-wise the PowerWave is particularly impressive with it’s integration with a range of smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy/Note, iPhone 11/Pro / XS / XR/ 8/ 8 Plus and Pixel 3 / Pixel 3XL . Along with all QI-enabled phones and devices.
To charge your device all you need to do is place your phone in the centre of the Powerwave Pad. The charger’s slightly rubberised finish helps keep your phone in place ensuring a stable charge. Charge time is also impressively quick averaging 30minutes less than ordinary chargers. Something I’m sure which will surprise a huge amount of people. You can also monitor your charge via the blue LED on the side of the pad which indicates when the charger is powering your device.
What we found most impressive was the fact that the PowerWave will work even through a phone case! How impressive is that?
With 18months free warranty too this is an absolutely superb addition to any desktop. Guaranteeing your smartphone device stays powered up for as long as you need it.
Next up we were lucky enough to check out Anker’s Wireless Charging Stand. Unlike the PowerWave the Charging Stand offers an upright charging position (both vertically or horizontally) for your smartphone. This is particularly handy if you want to FaceTime with clients, watch videos, read ebooks or recipes on your phone without having to manually hold it in position.
Again we loved the small footprint of the Charging Stand. At just 11.5 x 7.7 x 6.8 cm ; 109 g it’s perfect for comfortably holding your phone in place without taking too much space on your desktop. Charging couldn’t be simpler. By simply aligning your smartphone in the centre of the stand (on top of the charging coil) you can ensure you receive a quick and effective charge to your smartphone. Like it’s PowerWave counterpart an LED indicator helps to show the charging status of your phone too so you can keep tabs on when it’s successfully powering up.
Compatibility-wise expect all the same integration with the PowerWave’s compatible devices. But this time the Charging Stand also connects with Note 5/ S7 / Lumia Nokia devices, the Yota Phone 2 and Google Nexus 6 / 4 and 5.
We loved the fact that you can easily monitor your phone’s screen without having to handle the phone. Something particularly handy if you’re in the kitchen or in the midst of a conference call!
The PowerWave and Charging Stands are too brilliant pieces of tech which easily deserve to be in any tech lover’s stocking this Christmas. We highly recommend you grab these bargain
